About Otherland
Otherland is a free-to-play MMO based on the popular novels by Tad Williams. Developed by Drago Entertainment and published by Gamigo, Otherland allows players to explore the vast virtual worlds.
Like the books, the game is set in the late 21st century — when virtual reality has advanced so far that full-immersion installations are widely available. The game takes place after control of Otherland is taken over by new owners who are determined to eliminate the villainy that ruled it before.

The game features four playable classes: Marskman, Warrior, Assassin and Energizer. The first three classes are similar to their counterparts in other MMOs. Engergizer, on the other hand, is a gun wielding type specific to Otherland. This class makes use of the Otherland powergrid to deal damage. They feature weapons such as the Beam and Pulse gun.
Built in Unreal Engine 3, Otherland offers a wide variety of character customization, player housing, PvP, and PvE. There are nine different “world simulations” — Otherland’s version of regions — all with different styles. These range from the Lambda Mall, which functions as a type of hub and exists outside the network itself, to Earth’s nearest neighbor Mars, and a world dedicated to testing the behavior of insects.
Otherland is playable via gamigo’s web portal or through Steam.
